About me
I am fascinated by the relationship between individual experiences and the systems we operate within.
I studied English literature, urban planning, and community action and social change at the University of Michigan, and then found design as the discipline that brought all of those threads together. The Austin Center for Design is where I hardened my natural ways of thinking into a real design skillset, studying interaction design and social entrepreneurship.
I believe design can be a tool for tackling the most complex, wicked problems our world faces. That belief is what drew me to design and it hasn't changed.
I grew up in Florida, spent 12 years in Austin, and recently made my way back to Michigan, putting down roots in Detroit, a city I've admired for a long time.
When I'm not designing, you can find me staring at the landscape at a National Park, seeking out live music, or being very excited about a meal I'm about to eat.
